The history of Poggio Mori begins with the vision of four friends, the founding partners, who had an idea: to build a place in which to live and work the land, produce wine, Olive oil and the other products of the countryside.
The project takes shape in the beautiful Val di Chiana, here in Sarteano,
in the province of Siena.
Originally, the vines planted in the company consisted mainly of Sangiovese (vines over 40 years of age) from which the Chianti Riserva “Bludivigna” was obtained. In 2007, thanks to the oenologist Andrea Franchetti, who followed the start-up of the company, Bordeaux-cut vines were introduced to produce great organic wines.

At the same time, the old farmhouse has been recovered and transformed into a comfortable, functional and elegant place.
An exclusive and familiar proposal that wants to convey to the Poggio Mori guests the meaning of the initial project: to experience the Tuscan countryside in a human-scale environment.
Today, of the original nucleus of founders, the Poerio family remained to lead Poggio Mori.

Vincenzo, former CEO of Benetti Yachts, has transferred his great experience in the project in terms of quality and passion for work.
